Advanced Chemical to Control Losses

DosGuard™ 100 Lost Circulation Material

Lost Circulation Material form Bridges or Nets Over the Pores or Fractures in the Rock

DosGuard™ 100 LCM is composed of an inert material capable of forming a network across the loss zone, allowing circulation to be regained. The most common technique is to circulate a high concentration of LCM with the pumped fluid. Indeed, the pumped fluid can be lost to the formation if the fluid particles are smaller than a fraction of the pore size in the formation. Thus DosGuard™ 100 can be used to form bridges or nets over the pores or fractures in the rock, thereby preventing or reducing the loss of the drilling fluid or cement.

Performance Highlight

DosGuard™ 100 LCM Efficiently Plug Gaps

Slot plugging tests were performed with cement slurries treated with DosGuard™ 100 LCM. These tests were performed in a modified fluid loss cell. The tests results showed that cement slurries with LCM efficiently plug gaps up to 1 mm, as shown in Fig.

DosThiox™ 99 designed by DOSAS expertise to seal the loss zones, real time laboratory testing.
  • Curing Lost Circulation

The technique can be expanded to other wellbore treatment such as gravel packing, propant flowback control, wellbore consolidation and others.

  • Spacers LCM Treatment

The addition of LCM into spacers, pumped prior cement slurries, have improved success rates of controlling losses.

  • LCM Treatment Applications

DosGuard™ 100 LCM treatment can be used in water-based fluids such as spacers and cementing fluids, including fluids with low or high solids content. The advanced material is effective for surface, intermediate casings and production liner cementing jobs.
